This is one of my favorite authors. I have enjoyed reading, her plots are interesting and complex. This was one of her first books, from an old publisher. The book is short in comparison to other books, about 200 pages, so the plot is not as complex as someof her later books. I also liked the fact that it is part of a series, she was one of the first to have characters that show up in more than one book. If I like a character, I am sorry when the book is finished. I like having characters show up in another story. It would be nce to have the books in one package, that way they would be together and in order.

I loved the hero and the story line, but not so much the heroine and the ending was a let down. I mean - it was leading up to fireworks and I felt like it was a dud. I loved how the hero felt about the heroine. The hero was handsome, strong, brave, and intense (loved the steamy scenes), but I felt like the heroine was out there and not involved in wanting to love the hero. If I'm reading a love story, I want the focus to be about the two characters and the angst of loving eachother. The heroine didn't seem to have enough feelings about anything other than how cruel men can be. I have several IJ books that are keepers, but this one fell short. Again - I loved the hero - how he dealt with his problems, the heroine, and his responsibilities as Sheik, but the heroine turned me off.
