Wow, this book does not just grab your attention, it captivates it the entire time. Deanndra Hall is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the characters and storylines she created are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I loved the originality of the story and that her characters are more mature in age, few authors tackle a romance where the characters are in their fifties and it is something I would love to see more of. The characters are more complex, some may have more baggage or issues, but most are set in their way and know who they are as a person. Nikki Wilkes had it all, children and a loving husband of thirty years, but one night changes that all, and she needs to start over again in her fifties. It is difficult to get past her grief but she finds a job in florist and basically keeps to herself while struggling to make ends meet. The one thing she does for herself is her gym membership and daily workouts. An Italian stud grabs her attention, but she does not have the courage to talk to him. Tony Walters gave up on love after a failed marriage to a lunatic and a try at dating. Then a woman at the gym catches his eyes, he sees something in her, he sees it in her eyes. It does not happen right away, but these two will get together eventually and when they finally do, the chemistry between them is electric. It is great to get to know these two before the start of the romance and then watch how the buildup of the romance, it was also great to get to meet and learn a little of the other characters in the series, there are lots of intriguing characters and I am looking forward to listening to their stories starting with Vic Cabrizzi and Laura Butler’s story next, I hope it is coming to audio soon. Besides the romance storyline, there are other things going on, vandalism at some of the Walter Construction job sites which escalate to personal threats to Tony and even Nikki. The author does a great job keeping you on your toes, wondering what is going to happen next and who is behind the threats and sabotage and why. This cleverly plotted story has plenty of drama, a touch of angst, humor, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Deanndra Hall, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Logan McAllister did a great job bringing these characters and their story to life. He had a complete understanding of the characters he was portraying, captured all their emotions and projected them into his performance and had you feeling every single one. McAllister was awesome at covering the roles for all the characters, gave each their own voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

I had to know what happened to these great characters, so I'm sure the next stroke of my finger will be to one-click the rest of the series! If you like real life love stories between two folks who strongly deserve an HEA, then this book is for you!

This is a beautiful love story about two people who think that they may never find that special someone. Nikki has had her share of heartbreak, love and loss. She has been admiring a certain someone from afar and has come to realize he is out of her league.
Tony Walters is a successful, smart, sexy older gentleman. He has never known that true love or intense physical attraction that people are always gushing about! He has devoted himself to his family and business and resolved to remain the towns most unattainable and sought after bachelor. His family only wants him to be happy and they are always attempting some form of match making.
It appears that these two are about to collide in more ways than one! Tony is about to meet his match and Nikki is going to realize that he is so much more than she could have ever imagined.
Nikki is a prim and proper lady in public but much to the surprise and delight of Tony she is quite an adventurous hellcat behind closed doors. Tony has several surprises that of his own to reveal!!! Tony is amazed that he has gotten so lucky and has found such a wonderful giving woman. I was thinking that is was just a simple romance but having the mystery and suspense thrown in was a wonderful bonus! The supporting cast was fantastic. They are funny , crazy and a great element to the story line!!! The sex is hot and steamy ...loved it!
I can not wait to read the next installment of these fun, crazy, characters!!!
