Dark Blood (Dark Series Book 26)
The fates of a warrior reborn and a seductive Dragonseeker are irrevocably entwined in this thrilling Carpathian novel by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.
Zev Hunter was an elite warrior, a dark-blood dealer of death to Lycans who preyed on mankind. But he begins to question his past when he awakens in the sacred cave of warriors—and is soothed back to consciousness by the sensuously familiar voice of the woman who has haunted his fantasies for centuries: Branislava, member of the Dragonseeker clan.
Now, with a blood-sworn vow of honor, mercy and endurance, and under the influence of a siren as bewitching as Branislava, Zev begins to wonder what his purpose is, what it means for the future of the Carpathians and what it is about his rebirth that he has to fear...

Not as good as Dark Lycan, but better than Dark Wolf. This book was a solid three and a half to four stars to me until the last battle when it shot up to a solid five stars. I will try not to give to much of the plot away, because another review did that, which to me is just wrong, but what I will say is some had an issue with the direction they felt the author was taking the book and the series in, that I have a problem with. Why, because anyone who has been reading this series from the beginning knows this is not a new direction for the series. If those people who had a problem with the direction the book went in will go back and read Dark Demon, Dark Curse, and especially Dark slayer they will see the series has been going into this direction for some time now. Again I don't want to give anything away but it was a good read the two major plot lines were not a surprise because they had already been laid out in other books. I only had one issue with the book and that's the fact that the two dragonseeker women keep something to themselves for two years while living in the mist of the Carpathian that they should have told them, and of course it came back to haunt them in this book, but I found it hard to believe the Carpathian would not have this information after Natalya came into the series in Dark Demon. The fight scene s were well done. The dragonseeker women are strong and not to be screwed with, and the humor in this book was off the charts funny. However my favorite couple in the trilogy remains Fen and Taj. I have to also admit I shed a tear or two at the shocker we got at the end of the final battle, but it was still all good, that twist wasn't nearly as bad as what we got with Riley and her mom in Dark storm. A good author takers her readers on a ride, making them feel whatever the author what's the reader to experience. In this book I went on a wild ride feeling everything from, humor, to joy, to sadness, and loss. This book was an excellent read, this book will be going onto my keeper shelf.

Dark Blood, book 26 of the series Dark, by Christine Feehan & it's time to read the series from the beginning again! This will be my 2nd time through the most recent book. @authorcfeehan is one of my favorite authors.

This book picks up right after Dark Wolf ends & is Zev & Branislava’s story. Zev was fatally wounded & to save him, Branislava merged their life forces together. Branislava knew that Zav was her lifemate but Zev was raised as Lycan & did not know he was part Carpathian. They bind themselves as lifemates & take down the Lycans that were on the council/packs in the mage's power.
What a fantastic book! Love!

4.5 Stars
Dark Blood is the end of the trilogy within Christine Feehan's Carpathian series. Zev and Branslavia's story is hands down the best of the three stories in this miniseries. I did find it to be a tad redundant which is why I gave it 4.5 stars rather than the 5 stars I've come to expect from a Carpathian novel. I love the three couples: Lev and Tatijana, Dimetri and Skylar, and Zev and Branslavia, in this group of titles. Zev's family history is a welcome surprise. Welcome in the fac...4.5 Stars
Welcome in the fact that this could generate even more stories in one of my favorite series of all times. Ms. Feehan has a way of telling the same concept over and over by bringing new, innovative ideas and life to her stories. Each Character is a distinct personality and when they step onto a page thy may have grown but never strayed from the original. Gregori is one of my favorites of the series, and I am thrilled to see the same flaws and strengths but growth in his character in each book he is in. Mikhail is still chaffing at his princely chains, but adds such wonderful humor and humanity in the way he interacts with each character he comes in contact with. Yes,, this is the story of Zev and Branslavia, but it is also the continuation of the war our favorite species, the Carpathians, are fighting. More truths come to light, and even more secrets are uncovered. the cast is getting rather large now that we are into our 26th book of the series. I'm pleased Ms. Feehan doesn't try to cram them all in every story, overwhelming us with characters who are not pertinent to the story at hand, but rather bring in only those characters that enhance the story she is currently telling.
I highly recommend Dark Blood, especially if you might have drifted from the series a bit.
