Supernatural Academy- Year One
Maddison James is about to discover some truths about the world.
Firstly … supernaturals exist.
WTF?
Secondly … she is one, even though no one seems to know exactly what kind.
Double WTF.
Thirdly … she’s about to go back to school.
Well, things just got a little more interesting.
The Supernatural Academy is where shifters, vampires, magic users, and fey are educated. Where they are taught about their abilities, and how to function in the human world. Maddison already has the human part down, but this supernatural thing is an entirely new dangerous game.
Example one: mean girls who can actually turn you into a frog.
Example two: Asher Locke, a god at the Academy. Not literally … well, who knows for sure. He certainly acts the part, as do all of his minions who worship him.
Asher drives her crazy, because apparently gorgeous and arrogant is her thing. Sparks fly between them, and the more they’re thrown together, the more Asher is determined to figure out what’s been blocking her abilities.
Until the moment the truth is revealed, and they find out nothing in this supernatural world is what they thought.
Including each other.
Supernatural Academy is 105k words, full length urban fantasy story. Recommended 17+ due to language and sex scenes.

It never gets old that feeling you get when you're completeley submerged in a book that you forget whats going on around you or in you. I honestly surprised myself that I was able to read this book in a day, as i honestly didn’t think I’d be able to push through with my pain levels so high and rocking a pretty bad TMJ headache but duuude I totally stand corrected. Your books Jaymin are the perfect fix. She transported me into her world without effort. From page one, ahh scratch that, sentence one, man was I a complete gonner. You just managed to help me physically read one of my first books for some time now instead of heavily relying on audiobooks. Soo yay for a win! 😀 I knew if anyone could do it would be u!!
Totally loved everything about this book. The characters were totally loveable and created in a way that made you feel like you were part of their team. The chemistry of the couple whew...hot. But even that aside I loved just watching as the friendships were made and their little posse grew even more close knit. If you're after a story that has the best kind of feels in the department of family and friends coming together guys you need to give this a shot. I know you wont be disappointed.
I've also gotto say I absolutely loved Maddi's character her resilience was mindblowing. She's known nothing but hardship her life was anything but easy but she hasn't let that stop her and thats something I admired and related to. To her fire and strong character. You instantly want the best for her. And so when her world was literally turned upside down...what did she do? she legit just kept on going and took everything in-stride and saw it as something hopeful. You gotto get behind a chick like that right? Also her amusing personality and out there humour is just an added bonus. You cant help but love her.
I really also loved the uniqueness this story weaves, yes its still connected to the world Jaymin created in Supernatural Prison Series but it still stands out completeley on its own. Yes you can read it on its own but it does still flow on from the previously written series. Louis will pop in and out in the story and mention of the other series is brought in but it's not detrimental to the actual book itself. Just as a reader who loves Jaymin's books it allows you to make all the connections and know what's being referred to, if that makes sense. I really loved the mythology side of this book and how it was based around Atlantis, I found that really interesting and enjoyable.
As Maddi would say...this is the year of the Pink Hair. And boy what a year it will be.
I honestly just loved everything about this book. It was epic in a way that just continues to blow your mind and I seriously can't wait to read what comes next....Bring on the year of the ...... hair - hehe nope no spoilers from me. 😉 You're going to have to read it yourself to find out what next years colour will be. 😁
Thanks Jaymin for this fantastic read it was absolutely incredibly awesome! ❤️❤️

Read On: 06/04/2021Supernatural Academy: Year One is my first book by Jaymin Eve, and after reading, I’m not quite sure why I’ve never read one before. After days of starting and discarding books, I read the blurb for this book and finally felt a spark of interest that lasted longer than a couple of chapters. I’m so glad I dove into this world because it’s fascinating and huge.
Summary:
Madison James has fought hard to make it to the ripe old age of twenty-two. Life has been unendingly hard with little to no trust in those around her. She’s just looking to make it to the next year, the next birthday, and survive. That all changes this birthday. Suddenly she must learn to trust in a whole lot more than survival. The fact that supernaturals exist is the first pill to swallow. The second, that she’s one of them, is the next and hardest. Suddenly, Maddi is thrust headlong into a school environment with magical and awe-inspiring things all around her. The most awe-inspiring being the intensely powerful and supernaturally hot Atlantean-Five. Maddi has a lot to learn about where she comes from, but she’s determined to do it. Even if a certain Atlantean makes it difficult for her to focus. This is a chance Maddi never saw herself getting and she won’t let it pass her by. She’s going to embrace her new life and do what she does best. Survive.Having not read a book by Jaymin Eve before, I don’t think I had any expectations for this book. I really just wanted a story I could get lost in for a while, and Supernatural Academy did that brilliantly. I really liked Maddi from the beginning. She was strong, independent, street-smart, and a survivor. She had not had an easy time of it, and I was admiring her for making it to this point in her life when her life circumstances changed dramatically. With the promise of a whole new world of magic, I was hooked and adopting Maddi’s excitement as my own. Suddenly Maddi’s entire universe expanded and threatened to explode with possibilities and I was there for it. Ilia and Larissa were the best friends a girl like Maddi could ask for and I adored all of their time spent together. I really enjoyed the snippets of the side story we got for each of them, and I’m hoping that continues in future installments. The Atlantean-five were intense. At first, I did think this was going to be a reverse harem read, and even though the bonds were deep and strong, they weren’t all sexual or romantic in nature. I definitely wouldn’t have minded a deeper dive into the psyche and bonds between the self-proclaimed brothers, though. Especially Asher. The storyline was unique to me. I’ve not read a book centering around Atlantis before, but it was fascinating. I loved the buildup of finding out how Maddi factors into this lost city. Overall, I was pretty hooked on the story from beginning to end. The world-building was amazing and at times I felt like I could actually envision exactly where Maddi was. I do have some questions about why Maddi felt she had to run in the first place. Like what her motivation was for moving on quickly. The storyline was exciting and thrilling, and opens up so many avenues for future books to take. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Maddi learns next, and if she can learn to control her magic. ♡
