Chapter TWELVE

Rozario grew stronger every day and Brittany was growing quickly. The Griffith household was as wonderful as can be and when outside forces sit and watch, jealousy tends to overrule common sense.
Carla was intent on having Jeff. She saw him in a night club one night and took a chance.
“Hey stud.”
“I’m not interested, leave me alone.”
“I can teach you things Jeff.”
“Gosh, I am not into older women Carla, just go away.”
His friends thought Carla was hot for her age and they were right but Max had told Jeff about the things she did and he had no attraction to her whatsoever. His best friend decided he would take a chance. He waited until the others were on the dance floor and went over to talk to her.
“Buy you a drink?”
“I’m already half drunk, no thanks.”
“I can rent a room and we can have some of that fun you are trying to offer Jeff.”
“Let’s go.”
Carla emptied her glass and left with Richard. Three hours later, Carla stretched on the bed as he got up to get dressed.
“Not bad at all, I could get accustomed to that.”
“You are lying and no thanks, I’m not attracted to you, I just needed some release. I’ve already paid for the room you can stay for another hour of you want. Next time pick someone your own age.”
“You used me?”
“What did you expect? Love and roses? No, you are a cougar and I gave you what you wanted. I have to go.”
Richard, took up his car keys and left. Carla drove her own car so he wasn’t worried about not having to take her anywhere.

Carla sat on the bed and a wave of frustration washed over her. Although Richard made her come twice, she wasn’t satisfied. She wanted Jeff.
Back at the club, Jeff was dancing with a sexy chick and when he spotted Richard coming back he excused himself and waved for him to come over.
“You did it didn’t you?”
“Yep.”
“How was it?”
“Not bad, she’s pliable enough but she can’t handle me. She should stick to men her age who go one slow round and drop to sleep afterwards.”
“Good grief!”
“No kidding man, I swear, some of these older women can’t handle the younger men but they try anyway. You wanna’ take a shot at it?”
“No thanks, my dad would take my head off. He has no respect for women who go after a sick woman’s husband and then go after their son. Frankly neither do I. Funny thing, Dad met mom at a cougar party but they stayed together.”
“But your dad is older than your mom.”
“She’s not my real mother and yes she is younger. She had been hurt a lot and just wanted some fun but after she met dad, she didn’t want anyone else. That’s the kind of love I want not just a fling to ease an older woman’s itch.”
“Understood. I won’t be going back with Carla though she seems like trouble. Watch your back.”
“Yeah both my parents warned me about her.”
The two friends dance a bit more then headed for home.
