Chapter TEN

 
 
Genai was so caught up in the fun she was having she didn’t realise she missed two periods. Two. She was at work one morning before anyone got in and as she took a sip of coffee, she had to run to the bathroom.
 
She mentally calculated the time she and Tylan had been intimate and she knew.
 
When the doctor told her she was about eight weeks she almost passed out. So many thoughts came to her, what would she do? She knew she would never terminate but her fear was that Tylan would hate her.
 
Pregnant. She cried for hours after she got home. The next morning while sitting at her desk, she knew what she had to do. Then as if everything seemed clear, she picked up her cell phone and dialed Tylan’s number.
 
“Tylan I need to see you.”
“I am in your building, be there in a few.”
 
When Tylan saw her he felt something deep inside him needing to wash all her worries away.
“What’s wrong? Tell me and Tylan will fix it.”
 
“I’m pregnant.” She closed her eyes and waited for the anger.
 
“How far?”
“Eight weeks.”
“We have been making love unprotected for three months, it’s no surprise. What will you do?”
“I want to keep the baby. I don’t need anything from you, I just wanted you to know. I will be closing up shop after I find work for my staff. I need my parents to help me through this.”
 
“I wish I was a better man for you Genai, you would make a wonderful wife and you will be a great mother too.”
“You aren’t angry at me?”
“This might sound selfish but I have never loved a woman like I love you. I have also never been with a woman unprotected before. You are the only one I have been seeing since we started. How ironic is that?”
“I see, but the thought of a baby scares you.”
“I would not make a good father bella we both know this but you will be strong for both of us.”
“At least you are honest as you have always been.”
“I know you said you didn’t need anything from me but I can’t let you leave without giving you a little something.”
“Alright.”
