The Dawn of the End (The Rising Book 3)
Once upon a time, in a parallel universe, there existed the continent of Triton…
The queen has been assassinated. The Enchantments are under attack. The plot is unfolding. And our lovers, Silence and Mars, Cassius and Elena, True and Farah and Aramus and Ha-Lah are forced to separate as treachery and civil war sweep Triton.
Not to mention, the Beast is still a threat to every breathing being on the continent, and it is the destined warriors and witches who must stop him.
The attention of the fated mates is scattered and weighed down with bereavement and heartbreak as some leave Wodell to go to Airen, Mar-el and Firenze.
But they must amass their powers….

I have to put this out there, that anyone that listened to this in audible first and was able to keep track of the characters, Then I applaud you because this was A LOT to keep track of. This book had a little of all the KA of late, with some Honey series, some Fantasy, and some good old alpha male and their fiery females. I wasn't a huge fan of the Honey series but, the parts that are added to this series are well done. I didn't understand the moments in the first book but as this series is progressing, I get the message of love is love and the importance of acceptance of all people and genders. I appreciate that.
This book is intense. The story is really picking up in this one and the four couples are being attacked from all sides. The rising has new meaning now and I cannot wait to see what it brings. I timed reading this series right because as I finished this book, the final book just released and showed up on my kindle.. That is a little bittersweet because I do not want it to end. I hope that the author continues this in a new series in another part of the world. It was hinted that there was another part of the world so who knows.

Each couple is getting closer to one another, but that is not to say that they don’t have their disagreements (some of which are strong disagreements) and different opinions on how things should be handled. Since they are each new in their separate relationships, they have much to learn about one another, while at the same time trying to save their world from the beast that is coming. There are also wars and other obstacles that stand in their way, as well as life and it’s losses. I appreciat...

Reginald is a fun character and there are others along the way that have been introduced I really like too. I still hate the G’Doan, only now others have been added to that list.
I am continuing to enjoy this series and I love the escape it provides into the magical fantasy world.

The Dawn of the End $3.99 466 pgs ***.* 7/24/20 3.5 stars. The stories have gotten more interesting and intense but I have to admit, without the headings for each couple’s story, I would still have them all confused and I still don’t know what person belongs to which country unless it’s mentioned in their little stories. I still skip a lot of the G’ people stuff but skim enough to know the different people and what they are up to. The sex scenes are okay but nothing to really write home about. I am looking forward to the final book. I love having Lahn, Tor and Apollo but they are really just mere mentions here and there which saddens me because they are some of my favorite couples. To be honest, these books just don’t grab me like KA’s other books do

The Dawn of the Ends is rising!!
I've seen several comments like this, so I guess I am not the only one, but I didn't even notice until this book that the chapters are continuous from the first book. How did I not notice that??

The further through this series I get the more I fall for these characters but this time as it has been it was Silence and King Mars who just had me swooning. Even with their little tiff all throughout this book I was eagerly awaiting their chapters, but they better watch out because King Aramus and Queen Ha-Lah are quickly worming their way into my hearts.
I really do have so much to say about this book, but I just can't, it would be far too spoilery and I still don't even know how things are going to go. Literally 75% percent through the series and you would think I had an idea, but nope. I do know I am hoping that we get to see more of the characters that I love so much from the Fantasyland series. Especially a certain magical creature from New Orleans but that is just a hope of mine.
The narration was flawless as it has been since the beginning and with a full cast including some of my all-time favorites like Jakobi Diem, Stella Bloom, Lance Greenfield, and John Hartley. At this point I can tell who's talking just by the narration and for me that has made me grow so much closer to the characters. It is like coming to a dinner with friends where they are all fighting for their lives, but still.
One more book left, The Rising. The end of all or the beginning of something new, I guess we will see in just a few short days!!!

The storyline is heating up and following several directions. The couples are riveting. Each of their stories fresh and unique. Each seemingly going their own direction but at the same time having the same end game. There are so many characters and plot lines to follow, but the way KA has written the stories, it flows effortlessly. I am chomping at the bit for tomorrow to get here so I can read the next book!
