You already know that it's going to be a good read when you just can't put the damned things down. What I like most about this was the unique take on the mythology of the vampires race. Oh I also like the glossary at the beginning of each book. Each book focuses on a different brother of The Black Dagger Brotherhood (a group of vampire warriors who protect their race) and it allows you to get lost in the exciting world of The Black Dagger Brotherhood. The backstories are moving and interesting, there plenty of intriguing subplots. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I can totally say that I'm obsessed and can't wait to read more!!

I also found myself staying up all hours of the night, I was so hooked! K also went back and read each one again before moving on to the next. I already bought the next set, and I will be diving in right away!

This series deals with The Black Dagger Brotherhood who are vampires and their battles against their enemies, the Lessening Society, who are humans turned into the undead so they can slay vampires. I like that the vampires are not killers of humans, and are very similar to humans except that they need blood to survive and they have to stay out of the sun. They don't drink human blood to survive, but blood from a vampire of the opposite sex. The characters are complex and the plots are dark, but with some humor mixed in mostly as sarcasm in the thoughts of the characters. There's steamy, explicit sex, but it doesn't overwhelm the plots of the stories. Even though each book deals primarily with a particular brother and his mate, there are other stories occurring with other characters in each of the books as well. They are very entertaining and difficult to put down.

The storyline was interesting and enjoyable. The sex was incredibly done. The descriptions were Divine! Just the right amount of it, (thanks for all the cunnilingus), SO many authors don’t provide enough of it.

I Love the Brotherhood. My only dislike was the traditional vampire lore was ignored. Yes they couldn’t be out during the day, but they were incapable of healing themselves rapidly, they could see themselves in mirrors, they weren’t able to “fly” glide or other paranormal abilities ...
