Talk of the Ton

Four novellas of tantalizing tittle-tattle in Regency England. In the salons of the ton, no tidbit is more delicious than a rumor of amour-the more outrageous the better. Rakes and rogues, ladies of high station and low morals are choice fodder for the gossips of society.

I ordered this combo specifically for the third book 'Clearly A Couple'. It is a companion novella to the 'Free Fellow League' series. This short story continues the flow of the other four novels and is a "DON'T MISS" addition to the series to be read between Books 2 and 3. I HIGHLY recommend this novella and the entire "FREE FELLOW LEAGUE" novels by this creative and inventive author.

A Proper English Woman by Eloisa James
It's the story of a reluctant bridegroom (engaged since childhood, and hasn't seen his fiancée in years), a bride who's losing her patience, and a wild night in which the said bridegroom meets a wicked, delicious Frenchwoman…or is she?

Eloisa James does not disappoint in this delightful novella involving misinterpreted comments, scandalous gossip and a masquerade. This story is well plotted and sensuous. Rating:5-stars

The Vicar's Widow by Julia...

By Drucilla Koepp

The story by Eloisa James is good. She is an excellent writer and all her work is good. I highly recommend anything she has written. This story is clever and the Shakespeare inspired dialogue is really fun.
I liked The Vicar's Widow tho it was predictable and not anything special. It was cute.
Clearly a Couple was a wast of my time. It didn't make sense, was improbable in places and just not well written or thought out. The plot was weak and there was no dramatic tension.
