Remy
Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control. Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

It would have been better for me to DNF this, but I held out anyway. To make it easier on Ms. Evans and me in the future I won't be investing my time in this series anymore since 2/3 books were a miss.
Before I start, let me clarify a few things:
1. I am not a Katy Evans hater. I liked Real and gave it a 4. I met Ms. Evans at a signing a while back and she is one of the sweetest authors you will ever meet. That being said though, Mine didn't work for me, and after finishing Remy, it did...

Before I start, let me clarify a few things:
1. I am not a Katy Evans hater. I liked Real and gave it a 4. I met Ms. Evans at a signing a while back and she is one of the sweetest authors you will ever meet. That being said though, Mine didn't work for me, and after finishing Remy, it didn't work for me either (You can read about my problems with Mine here). This doesn't mean it's a personal attack on the author.
2. I think my main issue with this book was the wording. For example, I would've preferred the characters to smell rather than scent, and I think I must be one of the few who didn't like the lion references. I don't know if it was supposed to make the characters more primal or real, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
3. If you feel like my status updates are offensive and promote negativity, then easiest thing would be to ignore. Unfriend me. Voila. But honestly? Unless Goodreads personally contacts me and says there is a problem with my updates, please don't go around telling me how I should read a book or hint at what I should or shouldn't post. These updates reflect my initial, honest feelings towards a particular scene/character/event, and sometimes I feel like it's necessary to add a gif in for effect. I may be snarky, sarcastic, or humorous, but bottom line is I'm honest. Like I said, don't like? The unfriend button is a click away.

When I received this book for review my heart was completely exhausted from Mine. I read Mine and Remy back to back, one after the other. I had a Remy weekend, so to speak. ALL REMY, ALL DAY, and it was AMAZING. Let me tell you, coming out of Mine (bk 2 in the Real Series) I was a MESS. I wasn't ready to let go of them. I felt HEART BROKEN. Almost as if there was a death in the family. I can't explain it. I felt pouty, raw, restless and just...blah. I love this series. I think it's one of tho...

Almost as if there was a death in the family. I can't explain it. I felt pouty, raw, restless and just...blah. I love this series. I think it's one of those that imprints itself on your heart and mind. It's an intense experience. Remy is a man of very few words but the words that he does utter come from the heart. Getting in his head was heavenly. It gave me closure...well as much closer as one can get from this series because in all honesty I don't think I'd ever tire of reading about Remy and Brooke.
By this point you know that Remy is an ALPHA GOD. He loves Brooke with an unbridled passion. She is his SOUL. His other half. His heart beat. His life. She makes him want to live and be better. She gives him wings and helps him fly. The love that they have is ONE of a kind. It's special and beautiful and intense and ALL GOOD THINGS.
In Remy you get his POV from Real and Mine and more into the future. Now please, WHAT is better than REMY'S POV?????? Nothing people. NOT ONE THING. God, this man...being in his head and seeing what he saw, feeling what he felt...it makes you...God, it makes you HAPPY, it makes you sad, it makes you BLISSFUL. He is such a gentle SOUL. He's perfection for me.
I've heard a lot of people say that there are REDUNDANCIES and there is REPETITIVENESS in the series....My opinion, I DON'T CARE. It's the CHARACTERS that BURST forth from the pages and infiltrate your heart and soul, the story that captures you and steals your breath. It makes you FEEL and LIVE, it makes you DREAM and God, it does so much for you. It's romance, carnal passion, sex, hurt, jealousy, love and PRIMAL goodness all wrapped into one. It's EVERYTHING.
What can I say... Remy is Remy's POV and Remy's POV is like a Christmas present for a fan of this series. It's HEAVEN wrapped into an incredible package. You're going to CRY. I did. I miss them. Shit, I miss them. It's a 10 +++ STAR read. I LOVED it.

I've never been a fan of fighting sports...so I continue to be surprised that I ...(a) picked up the first installment of this story "REAL" and, (b) have become so completely addicted to this plot ....and the characters even more so.
Brooke Dumas is a 24 year old classy gal; a former Olympic contender who suffered an injury (twice) that forever changed her Olympic hopes, goals and dreams. She tries to reinvent herself and go in a new direction, but still do something productive and satisfying with her life...using her talent(s) and knowledge...something that she will enjoy. She's focused and determined and the very last thing she needed or wanted was a relationship. She didn't need the distraction from her dedication in rebuilding her future in the new profession she'd chosen - - which is helping young injured athletes attain their sports goals through sports rehab. But she met Remington "RIPTIDE" Tate, became completely bowled over, overwhelmed and confused in his powerful and intimidating presence. And then for the very first time in her life... she fell in love.
Remington Tate is a 26 year old Underground professional boxer. He is a commanding, dominating powerhouse. He's a potent, forceful, all-powerful superhuman strength. He is sex personified...(YOWZA!). Women love him...want him and throw themselves at him, screaming and begging to be possessed by him; but settle just to be near him. His charisma is staggering. He projects an aura of pure, raw, unadulterated strength. Men can only dream of being a fraction like him. Remington Tate is massive muscled, dimpled grinning arrogance, and yummy centerfold perfection. He's accustomed to having his every tiny whim catered to. He can be grumpy, moody, cocky, tender, loving and gentle.
But Remy only has eyes for Brooke Dumas. She's all he can see. All he WANTS to see. (I LOVE IT!!)
Rarely do readers stumble upon a love story of this magnitude. A commanding connection that is felt so utterly deep between the two main characters. But when it happens, it's so frikkin' amazing - - and this is such a story.
This third installment continues to give such an incredible RUSH! A speeding, exhilarating, staggering, out of control thrill ride. Such a fantastic romantic story surrounded with the yummy excitement of the world of underworld boxing. (Yeah, I'm a believer...I've been converted!) The consuming anticipation and built-up electricity between the two main characters just keeps on growing and growing. It gets deliciously better and better.
This Author has such an astounding talent of delivering precise and explicit narrative (and character) details, second only to Diana Gabaldon (OUTLANDER SAGA). Description of emotions and feelings are spot on direct and completely, deliriously consuming...propelling the reader...enthralling and engulfing us ..and placing us within the story lines with absolute precision. In little time, you're quite invested emotionally with Remy and Brooke.
I loved reading each main characters POV...their perspective of thoughts. When an Author gives us each characters' POV, it add's emotional dimension and connection beyond the norm...(at least it does for me). All you can do is buckle up tight and hang on - - and be thankful you found an author that can bring characters to life in such a fantastical, REAL way. You'll feel the need and the want and the love of these two characters. You'll feel them devour each other.
This story is, in a word...outstanding!

Remy by Katy Evan was EXCEPTIONAL!!! I love reading books that are written from the male POV. Remy was one of the best I've read so far. I am addicted to the REAL series and I love Remy and Brooke to pieces. I have to admit that I got very emotional towards the end of the book because I don't want to let them go! They are my absolute favorite couple EVERRRRR! I fell in love with this series and I connected with it unlike any other series I have read. When I read REAL, Remy became my book husb...
When I read REAL, Remy became my book husband. He's in a class of his own! I have never fallen for a character like I did with Remy. I got butterflies and all. I was telling myself that there was no way that I could love him even more. Boy was I WRONG! When MINE came along he completely took my breath away! And, now that I read REMY I can't even find the words to describe what he means to me. I'm so happy Katy Evans decided to share him. Thank you Katy!!!!!!
In Remy, we get to go inside Remy's head. Yay!!! Remy is not the kind of person that talks much, but when he speaks he is sincere and he wears his heart on his sleeve. Remy is a recapitulation of both REAL and MINE. You do need to read both books to read REMY. I loved that the book kept on switching from past to present. We also get the continuation of his story with Brooke, but sadly (I'm saying sadly because I FREAKIN' LOVE THEM!) the ending too :( Katy Evans is just AMAZING! She wrote such a passionate and emotional story. I cried and laughed with them. I felt their pain and understood their fears. I was so connected to Remy and Brooke that it took me days to start disconnecting. From the moment you meet Remy you instantly fall for him. He his such a strong character that he captivates you from the very start. The love he has for Brooke is undescribable. It's amazing, intense, beautiful, real, powerful, addictive, passionate I could go on and on and I would not make it justice. Brooke is the center of his universe and his salvation. He would do anything for her. In Remy we get to find out how much he did for her. Some of the scenes were easier to read then others from his POV. Of course all the steamy sexy scenes that he has with Brooke were my favorite to reread *Panties melting* I had a harder time reading the emotional ones. My heart broke even more reading it from his perspective. OMG!!! *Ugly Crying* He is such an intense person and to see him struggle with his insecurities was very emotional. His black mood moments were heart-breaking. He wanted to be ALL for Brooke and he fought with all that he had to become the person that he wanted to be. He fell so hard for his little ''Firecracker''.
Once again Katy Evans delivered PERFECTION! She created a world where I want to live in. All of the people that surround Remy and Brooke are amazing! They made this story even better. This series will make you escape and forget about everything. It will pull you in and it won't let you go. I loved everything about this series. I'll miss my sexy beast and his little ''Firecracker'', but I know I will reunite with them once the following books in the series come out. Yay!!! More Remy and Brooke <3
I give REMY by Katy Evans
5 U-N-F-O-R-G-E-T-T-A-B-L-E stars!
This series holds a very special place in my heart and I will never forget it. I can't wait to read the following books in this series. I LOVE Melanie and I'm very Intrigued by Pandora's story. I am positive that they will find a place in my FAVORITE list next to Real, Mine and Remy :)
