Well, I have been waiting not so patiently for the last of the trilogy and it came out today. I got an advanced reader copy so I actually got to start it over the weekend.

I have fallen in love with Damien and Nikki and have gotten to watch them grow with each book. This book ends the series and it did not disappoint. It was a very emotional book, lots of their past has come to the surface to be dealt with. At times it nearly tears them apart but you always root for them to get past it and...

I have fallen in love with Damien and Nikki and have gotten to watch them grow with each book. This book ends the series and it did not disappoint. It was a very emotional book, lots of their past has come to the surface to be dealt with. At times it nearly tears them apart but you always root for them to get past it and for them to be together. There were lots of twists and turns, some surprises, including one I never saw coming, and the ending was very satisfactory. Would I love more of them, HELL YES but I got the ending I wanted so if I only get to revisit them on rereads, then I am okay with that.

It was a great series, smart, well written, very modern and had some elements that were very different, enough to distinguish itself from others books in the genre. Now that all the books are out, pick up the series and give it a read. It won't disappoint.

BTW, I liked it so much I still bought it on Kindle and now I own it in paperback too!

As this book unfolds I think that statement that Damien makes to Nikki is demonstrated time and again. In this book you really get to see the depth of their connection and their love for one another. They complement and complete each other perfectly and I loved how this book turned out! They complement and complete each other perfectly and I loved how this book turned out! After the cliffhanger of the last book I thought for sure that the indictment would be the main source of conflict in this book but I was surprised to see how relatively quick that was resolved. Not to fear though because all of the other twists and turns the author throws at you throughout this book will keep you guessing right up to the end! Things from the past will rear their ugly heads and Damien is finally forced to let down his walls. There is angst and there is suspense but overwhelmingly there was also romance and a wonderful love story. Damien is always so thoughtful and so protective that you can’t help but love him, and seeing him vulnerable in this book also helped to humanize this larger than life character. My favorite part was his treatment of Jamie, he was so good to her because he knew how important she was to Nikki. There’s a part where the three of them go off for some R&R and I there are really some true gems in that part of just how great he is to both Nikki and Jamie. There was some turmoil towards the end as the story reached its climax but when all was said and done I loved how it turned out and I thought it was a great way to wrap up the series! Now I look forward to reading the novella, Take Me, to continue their story a bit more!
