Birdie raised Cam, Hutch, and Sawyer, but also Reggie in the ways that mattered most. She had a family, but they never had time, or really wanted a child. From Birdie, she received the unconditional love that every child craves. She knew from Birdie's presence that it was just a matter of time until her men came. When the trio showed up to take her home, she knew her days of running were over. They were all going to have to face the past together, if there was going to be a future. What they did not anticipate was the danger that followed Reggie to reemerge with a vengeance.

What a great new story from MB! She is already a must buy for me, but I am always surprised how she brings new elements to each offering. While the ménage was anticipated, she focused a lot on the more emotional issues. We got to see the internal upheaval, compromise, insecurities, and jealousies that can occur dealing with this type of dynamic relationship. This book is full of suspense, multifaceted characters, and enough eroticism to make you melt! Definitely a must read!!

On the sideline is a murder mystery goin' on and a stalker seemingly after Reggie.

Upside: great romance connection. Loved the understanding these three yummy men gave to this one woman while coming to grips with an intimate relationship together with only her. Ms. Banks did her usual superb job of reeling the reader into the love, angst, drama and pitfalls of such a relationship..keeping the pages turning.

Downside: Where's the descriptive character details? I mean, I FINALLY find out what color Reggies' hair and eyes are halfway through the book for cripes sake!! I STILL don't know if she's got long(er) hair or short...we're just told it's "dark & curly". How tall is she?? Some of the main male characters are described..some aren't..at least not much. Do we ever find out their ages?? Nothin' gripes me more than not connecting to characters and HOW CAN ONE CONNECT if you don't know what they look like???!!? Criminitly..[just a "tiny" pet peeve here]. Little snippits of info. filter through HALF WAY THROUGH THE FRIKKIN' BOOOOOK!!! I feel like Ms. Banks is holding the info. for ransom..

When this story was good...it was realllly good...at the same time, when it was bad/cheesy...gawd, was it cringingly sappy. Sappy dialogue at times.

The entire first half of this book is dealing with Reggies angst..."should she.. shouldn't she?" (accept the men's offer of a lifetime commited foursome relationship). On and on it goes..."should I?...maybe it's a bad idea...but I LOVVVE them"...gawd...

Still all in all and in spite of being left in the character description dark; I thought the story-line was told decently well and played out nicely and I found myself intrigued and curious enough not to put the book down..... The ending was wrapped up with a pretty pink ribbon with no loose ends.

Whats up with the cover pict? Reggie wasn't into fancy lingerie and shopped at WalMart for criminy sake!

The guys are all so sweet to Reggie and Birdie and making sure that they are taken care of. Reggie of course is stubborn and does not want or thinks she needs help from the guys in her life but they work better as a team.
Now about the sex scenes...those are so freaking HOT. There is one thing about a Maya Banks...

I have read this book so many times and love it every single time I pick it up. This was the first book I read that had multiple partners and I just fell in love with the characters. Reggie of course is stubborn and does not want or thinks she needs help from the guys in her life but they work better as a team.
Now about the sex scenes...those are so freaking HOT. There is one thing about a Maya Banks book is that this lady knows how to write alpha males with stubborn hard headed independent women.

I will have to say that this book was a good read, but not up to the level of her other books. I really was in hopes of it being better than it turned out to be, but I wouldn't steer anyone away from purchasing it and I will most certainly continue supporting this author.

For a good way into the book the guys didn't seem too intent on the sharing and each would have prefered if she could have chosen them. Later, they were resolved that this was the only way to be with her because she would never choose, but you are left thinking that this is going to be a problem down the road, or at least I was left thinking that.

What I liked - How fiesty the heroine was, she wasn't some weak willed girl who couldn't handle herself and that was established right from the beginning.

I also liked that the author didn't make her some virginal girl with limited experience with men. I just can't stand reading books like these that feature previously inexperienced women who immediately is comfortable with multiple partners, that always yanks me out of the fantasy a bit.

Once they got going with the sexy stuff closer to the end, it was really, really, really hot - The author really delivered in the end with the erotic stuff if that's what one likes to read.
