An Ill-Made Match (Vawdrey Brothers Book 3)
Roland Vawdrey is used to the best. As the King's champion he sets all the maiden's hearts a-flutter. When it comes to picking out a wife, he knows exactly what he requires, perfection of face and form.
Naturally, his choice falls on the fair Lenora. His dreams may be haunted by a stolen kiss with uptight Eden, but he’s not about to throw himself away on some prim, paragon of virtue!
Eden Montmayne prefers poets to knights, and would rather read a book than watch the jousting. When a betrothal feast goes awry, there is a truly scandalous outcome for Eden and Roland that throws the royal court into chaos. Even more shockingly, people soon start to wonder, could the resulting marriage be the making of them both? Despite the fact it was such an ill-made match?
Contains mature themes.

Loved humor, romance and characters. All Vawdrey brothers have been so loyal and sweet to their girls, the youngest Vawdrey was no different. The love scenes were steamy as story progressed. Love how possessive the hero was. The heroine was one strong individual. We did get see appearances by couple other stories in series but this book was purely on the couple. Loved the interaction and storyline. I hope there are more books in the series with heroine's new friend or the page boy that followed each hero in each book. Such good read. Mason still my favorite but this was like a very close second. Safe read. I dont really consider OW/OM drama in sense that you never felt betrayed and you always knew attention was on each other. Would recommend.

I only gave this book a 4 because I am judging it in relation to the other 2. I really did like it! I loved Oswald in it, and even though Mason is great, Oswald is my favorite. It was obvious to the reader what was happening, and I just couldn't stop laughing in the beginning. I wasn't sure I would like Rolland, but I did, and he certainly got what was coming to him, even though I didn't want that to happen.

Even though it fit with the story, and is probably realistic, Eden's attitude towards sex kinda put me off until the end. Eden made those scenes less enjoyable, and I don't like reading scenes of woman 'doing their duty' while not enjoying it. But thats just me.
That brings me to a big reason I had to give it a 4 in comparison to the other 2. The sex scenes... They weren't poorly written. The last one was everything that every single sex scene in her other 2 books was. But the other two books had so many, and they were so good, and never detracted from the story. I was just expecting something on par with the last 2 in that regard. Instead, there was only one that I would say is the quality I expect from reading past books.
What made me like the book was the plot, Rolland, and the other characters. It really was a funny book at times, and I can't wait to read the next two she has planned. One last thing, the thing I hate the most about this book? There are no more Vawdrey brothers! Rolland was the last.
