THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS,
I read this book on my kindle, and i have to say it was amazing. Not quite as good as Insationable, but still great. When i read the reviews before i bought this, i was a little nervous because so many people had said that the hero was too perfect, and the heroin too bratty. But i disagree. I probably wouldn't have noticed how perfect Christian was if i hadn't been looking for it... Christian was perfect but that's how we dream of our heroes to be. What's the point in reading a book if we could go out on the street and meet a guy exactly like our book heroes? But he did have a real life edge to him., he wasn't so perfect that it was unbelievable. I loved him. And Brianna, at times was bratty but in her situation i think i would be the same way. You have dreams about this guy but all you can remember are his eyes, and then a guy with the same eyes proposes to you. So when his supposedly "bastard" brother shows up and declares that you are his, i think i'd be a little resistant. And when you finally try to break the proposal, you cant because your fiance is faking being cripple. And i also would be feeling guilty if i thought my lover killed his brother, my fiance. So, Brianna wasnt exactly a brat, she was confused between her heart and her sense of wrong&right.
CONS:
While i did like the two love stories in one thing, i didnt like Joan of Kent. She was great at first, but she constantly does things without even considering the consequences.. and everyone else has to get her out of messes. It would be okay if this happened once or twice, but it was constantly.
Another was, Henley never made anything out of the fact that Christian was legitament and a prince. She mentions it, and our heroin finally finds out that she isnt married to a bastard, but i felt like it was just hanging there.Overall, this was a great book despite the cons. And if you like steamy, passionate, heartfelt love stories, then i suggest this one for you.

This book starts slow, but it is well the wait. I started to read and thought that I wasn't going to be interested. I am thrilled that I stuck it out. I started crying and then wanted to cheer for the heroine. I didn't want it to end and I can't wait for sequels to this book.

Virginia Henley is a talented writer, but this particular book was one that I kept putting down. Although I was absolutely in love with Christian, I couldn't stand Brianna. I thought she was too flighty. She gave her loyalty to a man who treated her rather questionably and shunned the man that vowed to love her forever. Usually I enjoy a little taste of the supernatural, but the uses in this book just felt out of place. I haven't written Virginia Henley off yet. I have a couple other books of...

I have a couple other books of hers to read that have gotten higher ratings than this one.

This order arrived ahead of expected delivery date. Upon examining the book, a number of pages were significantly creased. Hopefully, a weighted item will help to flatten the affected pages. The condition of "new" would be accurate with the exception of the creased pages.
