You definitely want to have read the previous books in this series, if only because so many of the events and people in them are referenced in this book. Not that it’s a hardship- it’s an enjoyable series to read, with an interesting world, filled with intriguing characters.
A fun read for the paranormal romance lovers out there, VLG fans, and Laurann Dohner fans.

The thing I liked as well is that this book has sex in it but it is not over the top and grungy like some of the books out there and it fit well into the story line. I hate to read a story where the sex is all the book is about and has no story but this one has a well established story line and the sex is just part of that. I even lent this book to my sister and now she is buying more books by this author. Laurann does an amazing job with writing and keeping your interest and balancing the sex with the story. I loved the plot of the story and felt so bad for Shay and loved Trayis and his issues. So now I am going to have to go back and buy the first book and work my way back to this book again. Really enjoyed this read and like I said kept me reading to the end and was sad to see it end.
