Fire & Brimstone: A Neighbor from Hell by R.L. Mathewson
Lucifer Bradford has finally met his match in the small woman who enjoys making his life a living hell in this romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author R.L. Mathewson.
What happens when a Bradford with questionable OCD and a reputation for making his employees cry falls for the woman that refuses to accept the fact that he’s fired her?
Lucifer still wasn’t sure how she was doing it, but every single day without fail, Rebecca found a new way to drive him out of his damn mind. When he finally manages to do the one thing that he’s been dreaming about doing for years, she takes him by surprise and makes him realize that there was more to the woman that loved to drive him crazy than he thought.
He needed her.
Not that he would admit it, but Rebecca wasn’t going to let that stop her, which was why she just couldn’t let him fire her because, without her, he’d be lost.
It was for his own good.
It really was.
At least, that’s what Rebecca tells herself. It was probably wrong to torment the man that signed her paychecks, but she just couldn’t help herself. There was just something about the incredibly handsome man that loved to glare that made her want to see just how far she could push him.

Here is the story of Rebecca and Lucifer (Christopher). We didn't see much of him in other books. It was always a mystery of why a Bradford would own a restaurant and not let in his family. In this book we learn that and so much more. Now even though these two have had a working relationship for the last five years they haven't seen themselves as anything more than coworkers. Rebecca is a Bradford at heart. She loved to pick on and mess with Lucifer. It's the little things in life that make h...

In this book we learn that and so much more. Now even though these two have had a working relationship for the last five years they haven't seen themselves as anything more than coworkers. Rebecca is a Bradford at heart. She loved to pick on and mess with Lucifer. It's the little things in life that make her smile like the scowl on his face. Lucifer having a touch of OCD, it doesn't take much to annoy him. The only ones who don't seem affected by his temper is his family and Rebecca. There's a thin line between hate and love as these two will soon find out. And yes these two have dated others in the past but it's not shown in this book. So no cheating and we get a HEA with these two. Now as for the next Bradford it's just beginning. I wouldn't say I laughed through the whole book. But I will say it had some laugh out loud parts. Great read and can't wait for more.

Fire & Brimstone is a fun addition to the Neighbor from Hell series. I think Rebecca was even crazier than the Bradford's, which is saying something! I really enjoyed this, I love that it started out with Lucifer trying to fire Rebecca, not that she would accept that, and by the end she was the one attempting to quit, which he ignored. I really loved Lucifer and Rebecca together. I loved Lucifer's devotion to her and how wrapped up in each other they were. I guess the only reason this didn't ...
I guess the only reason this didn't get a full five stars was because I expected something more from Rebecca's family. That pain was mentioned, and then sort of forgotten. I thought for sure they would come back, either to get closure on that relationship being lost, or to get some sort of understanding finally. And I guess I expected there to be some sort of drama (even if it was mild) between Rebecca and Lucifer. *Slight spoiler coming up* When he was tanking her job prospects, I figured she would find out and be furious. I mean, being rejected for weeks on end was making her depressed and it felt a little too much on the side of mean and manipulating. I figured she would discover his deception, there would be a fight, a heartfelt apology, and then they would move onto their HEA. Instead, that is just never mentioned. I thought it was a missed opportunity. And their love just stayed on course with few bumps at all.
Overall, for me this book did exactly what the author hoped. It gave me an escape, made me laugh and put a smile on my face when I have had a tough week. It gave me time to breath and I know this will be one I will be re-reading (and listening, I bought the audible version and it is great!) for years to come. If you are a fan of this series, and you need a smile and a laugh, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Another totally hilarious story about the Bradford men as they find their soul mate. This is the story of Christopher "Lucifer" Bradford, owner of the Fire and Brimstone restaurant, who has been plagued and driven crazy by one of his waitresses, Rebecca Shaw for the last five years and tries to fire her numerous times on a daily basis. The Bradford men can be described as almost caveman like in that they all do not ask their brides to marry them but kidnap them and haul them to a justice of the peace so they can't say no, have voracious appetites in both sex and food. They are well known to be able to totally decimate a buffet in no time at all and are quite often banned from most buffets in the area. They fight among themselves, call each other names, but when the going gets rough they have each others backs. The women they choose are usually bratty, try to act innocent as they pick on and drive their men crazy and do things to annoy them as much as possible and are very intelligent, loving, and funny.
Totally recommend this book as well as others in the series as they all will give you a real laugh.

Lucifer Bradford wants to fire his annoying waitress. He has hidden her mysterious clipboard that he thinks may have magical powers, he is ready to fire her. Rebecca though doesn't seem to listen, he has had fired her multiple times and she is still there. When she finally says okay, he knows something is wrong. Lucifer doesn't want to care about the menace, but he kind of does.

Rebecca has been dealing with an elusive illness her whole life and she can't take it anymore. She is hurting but everyone thinks she is a hypochondriac, as if. When Lucifer helps her, she finds herself falling for the unshakable man who carries her around, tries to tell her what to do, which she doesn't. Lucifer is falling as well, but now he has to get Rebecca to fall for him as well. She is his perfect match and scary in some ways, even worse than a Bradford.
Extremely delicious fun. Loved this couple, Lucifer is a hoot and Rebecca is devious. One of my favorite series of all time. Couldn't put it down.
