Twin of Ice

Happily betrothed to Dr. Lee Westfield, Houston is every bit the good girl she was raised to be. So when faced with Kane Taggert's brash marriage proposal, Houston is outwardly shocked. But beneath her gracious demeanor lies a woman of hidden longings -- and her defenses begin to melt the second this rugged stranger touches his hungry lips to hers. Meet Houston's impetuous identical twin sister, Blair Chandler, in Jude Deveraux's Twin of Fire.

I've always liked this story more than Twin of Fire, the second book. Good story, love the characters. Want to see more of them.

Twins often think it would be fun to trade places. But, sometimes things do not go as planned. Houston traded places with her sister so that she could see the inside of a house. When she got home that evening her little adventure turned her whole world upside down. The characters are great and you will not want to put the book down. A very fun read, and you will enjoy every minute of it.

Jude Deveraux is one of my favorites. She always tells a Great story. This one was good and had my attention from beginning. There were a few things like the morals of her twin and fiancee that I felt as close her sister wouldn't of happened,
and Kane's tests that the heroine, Houston shouldnt of put up with. Good story but should of ended a few chapters sooner.

I think that's the best description I can give. If you went by public opinion then Kane was an unrefined beast and Houston a wallflower who did her duty of standing about and looking pretty to a T. But they are so much more than that, there is a goodness in Kane that is hidden behind anger and his gruffness and Houston makes you admire her when you realize that she is so much more than the prim, proper twin. There are so many moments that make you smile or laugh. Very enjoyable
